Mind Body Bike

Mind Body Bike was created after the sudden and tragic death of my father in law in December 2015. One of the strongest men I know on the outside… Our mission is to promote the importance of being both ‘physically fit and mentally strong’.
We had always hosted an annual women’s mountain biking weekend, however it was through this loss we discovered the importance for women (and men), cyclist or not, to have space to escape and recharge. In 2017 we launched Mind Body Bike as a weekend for everyone, having added creative based workshops, cooking, wellbeing, lifestyle and fitness classes. Our vision was to connect women of all backgrounds and interests. We are proud to now offer similar programs for youth and teens, plus a weekend for men.
Every year at the annual women’s weekend, I share our story. And every year there are one or two participants who reach out privately with their own heartbreaking stories. The late nights, hours of preparation and planning, are all forgotten in these moments. Proud and grateful of what we have created.
